Introduction to Agriculture - 9th
This class is taught at the high school farm and is a logical starting point for students interested in the pathways within the agriculture program. Students will be introduced to the importance of sustainable agriculture through plant and animal science topics as well as agriculture and natural resources. In addition, students will begin exploring agricultural welding and mechanics. Topics will also include units on FFA, record keeping and careers within agriculture.
Integrated Math 3 in Agriculture

In order to make sound business decisions in the complex world of Agribusiness, students need to find ways to integrate responsible, sustainable agricultural practices that will benefit agriculture and the environment now and in the future. This course seeks to build mathematical connections in making those sound business decisions and build structure for real world applications of math. Upon completion of this course, students will understand how local, regional and global agricultural influences can translate into a process of using mathematics and statistics to analyze and drive decision making. This course is currently in the approval process as a future course we can offer.
English 12; Business of Sustainable Agriculture - 12th
This year long, six unit, 12th grade language arts/CTE hybrid course allows students to develop the skills and foundational knowledge needed to start a sustainable agribusiness. In addition to being able to evaluate and differentiate agricultural business types and structures, students will also develop ethical and socially responsible decision making skills through a series of analytical and research essays as well as through detailed presentations and mock trials. While the first semester of this year-long course focuses on building an understanding of agriculture and sustainability, as well as the many forces that affect the industry, the second semester focuses on using that base knowledge to inform building business and entrepreneurial acumen. By the end of this course students will synthesize language, communication, critical thinking skills, marketing and economic principles, pertinent legal knowledge, as well as the foundations of agriculture into the design of a business plan for a sustainable agribusiness.
Agriculture Government / Economics - 12th
This course is designed for the Senior Agriculture student to meet the government and economics graduation requirement. This course takes a look at the topics of government and economics and expands the conversation into how the agriculture industry operates. Students will engage in discussions, projects, and presentations to develop their skills and knowledge as they prepare for graduation, and their next stop after high school.
