I'm New to FFA, what is there to do?
Within the FFA, there are many opportunities to become an involved member, both at the local Chapter level, and throughout the State and even Nation. Here is an overview of just some of the opportunities YOU have to get involved in the Chapter. If you are interested in learning more about Career Development Events and Leadership Development Events, there are separate pages that cover those under the "FFA" tab in the top navigation bar.
The FFA provides opportunities for leadership, skill development, and recognition. Through FFA, members have the opportunity to learn about careers in agriculture, increase their communication skills, travel, and demonstrate responsibility. In addition, members can be recognized for their efforts in all of these efforts through various awards and achievements. FFA has an extensive award program, implemented at all levels; Chapter, Section, Region, State, and National.

Agriscience Fair |
The agriscience fair recognizes students researchers studying the application of agriculture scientific principles and emerging emerging technologies in agricultureal enterprises.

Becoming an FFA Officer |
Being an officer you are taking up a major leadership role, and lead the chapter into growing larger into agriculture. It should be the officers' goal to lead by example and encourage other members to participate in chapter activities.

Chapter Activities |
Chapter Activities make sure kids are involved, aware and educated in FFA. We make sure they have fun and a blast and make sure they tell their friends how cool FFA is. We plan events to get kids more involved and bring back skills they can use for a lifetime.

Greenhand Leadership Conference |
This is no ordinary leadership conference! This action-packed day is sure to be a fun way to get to know yourself and meet new people as we explore the new world of Agricultural Education (Ag Ed). Ag Ed and FFA is a home away from home for all and will help as you start to navigate this new beginning. You will spend the day diving into what makes you, YOU! and discovering ways the FFA can help you make the most out of your high school experience.

Made For Excellence |
MFE is all about a student understanding who they are and how they can build trust, show vulnerability and give empathy in order to develop relationships to ultimately influence those around them. This conference is about "WE: knowing that leadership starts by first believing in ourselves in order to build our confidence to then serve others."

Advanced Leadership Academy |
Once a leader is comfortable with their own self and self-purpose, they can discover how to work with others and accomplish a shared goal. The process for analyzing program needs and improving a project or event is the focus of this conference as students discover how to be teams of innovative leaders in their chapter. This conference about "DO: the individual leader, their relationships with others and how to enact change within their chapters and communities."

Sacramento Leadership Experience |
At California FFA’s capstone conference, individuals and teams are prepared to make things happen. Skills for solving problems, making decisions and accomplishing goals are developed. Students step into the role of one of California's State Legislators, are assigned a specific California district and spend four days in Sacramento. SLE is all about the role of government, agricultural policy and advocacy. This conference focuses on "DO: the ability of the individual leader and team to put their vision into action.”

Washington Leadership Conference |
WLC inspires FFA members to become chang-makers in their communities. Each day of the Conference focuses on a different principle taught through the contest of our nation's capital: those pillars being Explore, Encourage, Advocate and Serve.

State Leadership Convention |
Over 4,000 FFA members and guests from across the state in attendance. After arriving in Anaheim or Sacramento, members participate in state level and state final competitions with hundreds of members that come from all over California. Students will get to listen to some of the best motivational speakers in the country. The goal of state conference is to build on and teach skills in the areas of premier leadership, personal growth, career success.

National FFA Convention |
The National FFA Convention is the world's largest in school youth convention. Each year, nearly 55,000 FFA members and guests gather to learn about careers in the agriculture industry, compete for award money, volunteer in the community, and shape the future of the National FFA Organization.

Proficiency Awards |
Proficiency awards honor those FFA members who have an maintain a unique and robust SAE project. There are many categories that a student can apply their SAE project too. Details on each SAE Proficiency Category can be found under the "SAE" tab in the top navigation bar. Awards can be earned at the following levels;

Section and Region Activities |
In the section and Region Activities are the same as Chapter activities. They build events to build the FFA program, make people more interested and make sure everyone has fun.

Star Awards |
Star awards recognize those members of the FFA who exceed in their work, either as exceptional members, or for having an excellent SAE project. The possible Star Award areas are;
