Lincoln FFA End of Year Awards Banquet!

We are excited to once again bring our members and families together for a night of celebrating member successes! 

Please consider joining us on Thursday May 22nd in the Pence Gym for this year's award banquet. All members are welcome to attend, but we highly encourage those members who have;
  • Earned FFA Degrees this year
  • Competed in CDEs or LDEs
  • Competed in FFA related Competitions or Events
  • Assisted with Chapter Leadership
  • Received Ag Scholarships
  • Applied for;
    • Involvement Awards
    • Proficiency Awards
    • Pathway Completer
    • FFA Senior Award
    • Star Member Award
  • 4 Year Members
We will also be recognizing adult community members who have provided support to the FFA Chapter this year!

This year we are going to have a Tri-Tip dinner along with the awards ceremony! To ensure we prepare enough food to feed everyone, please RSVP by May 14th! Please list the student's name, and how many people will be attending from your family, including the student.

FFA Involvement Award

Application
FFA involvement beyond the required activities shall be recognized based upon the number of additional activities a member has participated in, at or above the chapter level.
  • Bronze Award recipients have participated in 11-20 FFA activities in the current year
  • Silver Award recipients have participated in 21-30 FFA activities in the current year
  • Gold award recipients have participated in 31 or more FFA activities in the current year

Proficiency Awards

Application
Proficiency awards are those awards that honor the most productive and quality SAE project in each of the nationally recognized proficiency award categories. 
Requirements and Criteria;
  • Member must have submitted an application for a proficiency award area that their project qualifies under
  • Member must have their project up to date in AET for accurate evaluation
  • Member with the highest quality SAE program in each category shall win
    • AET entries are detailed and have substance
    • Amount of hours and monetary value may be a determining factor
    • Size and scope of project as it changes year to year
This year we will award a Star in Agribusiness, Star in Agricultural Placement, and Star in Agriscience when applicable. The winners will be chosen from the pool of winning proficiency award winners with suitable projects. 

Star FFA Member Award

Application
The Star FFA member award is meant to be the pinnacle of achievement for members of the FFA. This award is given to one member each year. The recipient shall be the most involved member of the year, who has participated in the most FFA activities at or above the chapter level

Pathway Completer Awards

Application
Pathway completer awards are awarded to graduating seniors in recognition of their completion of one or more of the pathways offered in the Lincoln High School Agriculture Department. 

Requirements and Criteria;
  • Member must have completed all the required courses in a given pathway to be eligible as a completer of that pathway
  • Member must have earned a C or higher in each class of the pathway to be eligible as a completer of that pathway
  • Member must have demonstrated immersion in the agriculture education 3-circle model by earning their Chapter FFA degree, demonstrating their additional education through the FFA program and SAE Program

FFA Senior Award

Application
The FFA pin award is meant to honor those members who have demonstrated great commitment to their participation in the FFA program and agricultural education. 

Requirements and Criteria;
  • Member must have been in an agricultural education class all four years of high school
  • Member must have earned their State FFA Degree
  • Member must have participated in a CDE or LDE for at least two years
  • Member must be actively involved in Chapter Activities each year
