In order to start off our school year right we had our annual Ice Cream Social! All of our Lincoln FFA members had the chance to come out to the softball Fields on the 30th to have ice cream, listen to music, play corn hole, and have fun with water balloons! We also finally properly introduced this years 2023-2024 chapter officers! Your chapter President is Della Lefty, your Vice President is Dotty Lefty, your Secretary is Lilyana Petersen, your Treasurer is Jessica Stasinowsky, your Reportr is Megan Sampson, your Sentinel is Summer Picca, and your Historian is Carrie Marino! Can't wait for an amazing year!

This month had been incredible for our chapter! At the beginning of this month, we took twelve of our members to The Gold Country Fair and they did amazing! We would like to congratulate our following champions for this year's Gold country Fair. For sheep, Cady Miner, Lilyana Petersen, and Megan Sampson. For goats, Summer Picca, Braden Miner, Carrie Marino, and Annelise Cederholm. For beef, we have Erica Haddox. You all did an outstanding job this year, couldn't be more proud! On September 21st our monthly chapter meeting and our ping pong tournament was a go! There were over 150 members that attended the meeting and 17 teams formed in the tournament. While other teams were playing their first rounds, others got to enjoy our baked potato bar! As time went on the final two teams were going to compete for the top. Our reserved champions were James Segale, and Dalton Shrum and this years ping pong tournament champions are Cory Crawford and Summer Picca! To top off this already amazing month,we received some incredible news that four of our chapter members will be receiving their American Degrees! We would like to congratulate Bailey Baser, Cadence Miner, Ashley Moss, and Kyndal Rogers on this remarkable accomplishment!

This month was full of activities! Starting off, on October 1st our officer team traveled down to Sutter Union High School for their chapter officer leadership Conference. Attending this meeting, they had the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge that they were excited to bring back and share with the rest of the chapter. Then two days later on October 3rd, our ASM and vest science classes went to Fowler Nursery to harvest pumpkins in preparation for our upcoming LEAP tours at the Lincoln High School Farm! October 13th was a big day for our ag teachers! They traveled down to the Chico State Farm for the Superior region CATA Conference. There, our ag teachers were chosen for the outstanding 4+ person FFA program for the Sierra-Buttes FFA section! Then Mr.Hess was recognized as the Sectional Outstanding Agriculture Teacher! We are so proud and grateful for our hard working advisors! Shifting to October 19th, we had the wonderful opportunity to welcome our State Reporter, Piper Lakey to our farm! She toured our farm and spent the rest of the day hosting workshops for some of our classes about the FFA and leadership development! Later that week, on October 24th our chapter hosted the Sierra-Buttes FFA Section Chili Cook-Off at the farm! More than 7 chapters and 70 members joining in on the fun! Alongside the Chili Cook-Off, corn hole and ping pong were available to play, which led to some entertaining matches,it was a blast! Ending this month with bang, we held our Casino Night Chapter Meeting and it was safe to say it was a hit! At this meeting, our members had the chance to win prizes by playing different types of games that you may see in a casino! Not only did we have a tun of our members attend, we also had admin attend the meeting and become dealers! What an amazing month, can't wait for more to come!

November
To kick start this month, 4 of our members attended the 96th National FFA Convention! Their journey began in Nashville, TN and were able to relax and watch a show at the Grand Ole Opry! On day 2, they visited iconic places like the Country Music Hall of fame, the Parthenon, the Johnny Cash Museum! After taking in the crazy culture of Nashville, they made their way to Indianapolis, IN to see Lainey Wilson and Dillon Carmichael at the FFA concert hall! On day 3, they woke up bright and early to attend the opening and closing session. Afterward, the group headed down to Louisville, Kentucky. Once they got there they got to see the Churchill Downs, then toured the Louisville Slugger Museum, and ended their night doing an escape room. Day 4 started off at the convention's College and career expo, there our members had the opportunity to interact with over 300 colleges and businesses! Once they finished up the college and career expo, they went to the Indianapolis Motor speed Way and took a tour of the race track and the night ended with the last Cinch World's Toughest Rodeo at the Indiana State Fairgrounds! On day 5, we got to watch some of our Lincoln FFA Alumni's receive their American Degree's! We would like to recognize the following for their remarkable achievement, Bailey Baser, Cady Miner, Ashley Moss, and Kyndal Rogers. We are so proud of you guys! Following the ceremony, the group headed to Washington D.C. They got to visit the Vietnam Memorial,Korean War Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, WWII Memorial, and the Washington Monument. With all of this sight seeing they headed over to Hell's kitchen for lunch. After lunch, they visited the Holocaust Museum as well as the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History and the Smithsonian Museum of American History! Day 6, the final day of the National Convention 2023! They went into Union Station, the Supreme Court building, taking a tour of the Capitol, seeing the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum, and finally checked out the White House before they headed home, what an action packed adventure! A week later, on November 15th, we hit the road again to attend the Sectional opening and closing contest with 5 teams to compete. Although we didn't place, it was still a blast to experience! A couple days later on November 19th, we held our 3rd annual 5k turkey trot at the farm! Even though it rained we still had a great turn out, it was great to see the community to get involved! To close out this month, we celebrated our Greenhand's all day and had our Canned Food Drive Race for our November chapter meeting! In the morning, we had our 2023 Greenhand's dye their hands green, once they dyed their hands, they headed over to get their hot chocolate! Then at lunch we served our Greenhand's pizza! Once the school day ended, we held our chapter meeting in the high school theater. During the meeting we awarded the Greendhand'ss with their Greenhand Degree. Once the meeting was adjourned teams formed to prepare for the canned food drive race, and then the race was on. While some were doing the race, other's wanted to stay back and make tie blankets for our local senior citizens. Once everyone returned from the race, it was declared that Mr. Willhites team won with a total of 615 cans! Overall we were able to raise 1,300 cans for our community, great job everyone!

Ending off 2023 with a relaxing month, Mr. Willhite took our BIG team to Sutter High school to compete in the Sectional Contest on December 6th. Although we didn't place we are still extremely proud of them! Then a couple days later on December 8th, our Ag Mechanics team attended the Marysville FFA's Fabrication Contest! Overall the team scored the highest in the team project portion of the contest! To end of the year, on December 14th, we held our Bonfire Chapter Meeting at the farm and it was a success! We had over 150 members attend this meeting! Not only was there a bonfire but we had a live band! What an awesome year!

January
To kick off the new year, Mr Willhite took 13 of our members to the Made for Excellence Conference and Advanced Leadership Academy. At these conferences our members learned about how to improve their leadership skills and how to use them throughout their life! It was awesome to see everyone come together to develop new skills and make new friends! Next,on January 24th we had our Bingo Night Chapter meeting at the farm! We had 13 lucky winners that got to go home with some fun prizes from their tickets that they got from winning bingo! It was great to see everyone! Then, on January 26th we had 4 of our members compete in the sectional project competition. They traveled down to Sutter High School to present their projects! We would like to congratulate Grace Tripp for winning 1st place in the work experience Division! The next day, we hosted our first speaking contest on campus! The contest included Creed, Impromptu, Job Interview, Extemporaneous and Prepare Public Speaking! We also had 7 of our member compete in these contests! What a great way to start off this year!
February
To start off this month, on February 3rd, Mr. Willhite took 5 of our members to the Arbuckle field day! We had 4 of our member compete in BIG and 1 competed in job interview! Then on February 7th, 2 of our member's competed in the Sierra Butte's Sectional Job Interview Preliminary on zoom! Although we didn't move on to the nest round, we are still very proud of those two! A couple days later on February 9th, we held our very first Ag Fabrications contest at the farm! At our event it focused on heavy steel construction, which typically means that the beams would cost a large sum. Luckily, Tradestrong and Panattoni Development was generous enough to donate those materials! Moving forward to the next day Mr. Willhite took our Vet Science team and our BIG teams to the Chico State field day! They may not have placed but they gave it their all! Next, on February 13th, 17 of our members traveled down to Tulare, CA, alongside Placer FFA and Del Oro FFA to visit the World Ag Expo! Attending this expo they had the opportunity to explore the wide range of agriculture related topics by seeing and experiencing some of the seminars and exhibitors! This was a great experience for our members to attend! Then on February 16th, 5 of our members traveled to the Sierra Buttes Sectional Contest. Attending this contest our members got to competed in Impromptu, Creed, and Spanish Creed! We would like to congratulate Estrella Herrera for placing 3rd in Spanish Creed and moving on to regional's! Moving on to FFA week (2/20-23), on Tuesday, our members were tasked to dress up in red, white and blue and camo! During lunch, we had corn hole and sweets in the quad! On Wednesday, members wore Blue, Gold and FFA gear! During lunch, everyone had the opportunity to pie an officer in the face! After school we held our Ag Olympics at the farm! Members were able to participate in a serires of games that were Olympic themed! Thursday dress up day was neon colors! For lunch we held a neon dodge ball tournament in the gym! For the last day of FFA week we had our freshmen dress in green, our sophomore wear blue, juniors wear white and seniors wear black! What a mont!
March
To start off this month, on March 1st, Mr Willhite and the Parli Pro team traveled to UC Davis for a contest! Although they didn't place, were so proud of them! The next day on March 2nd Mrs. Killingsworth and Mrs. Armistead took the vet science and BIG team to UC Davis to participate in the field day! Then that same day, our Parli Pro team placed 2nd at the Gridley Field day, meaning that they are headed to regional finals! Fast forward to March 8th our Parli Pro team and Spanish Creed speaker went to compete in our Regional Speaking contest! With that said we would like to congratulations to Estrella Herrera for placing 3rd in the Spanish Creed and our Parli Pro team placing 4th! We are so proud of all of them for moving on to state! Then on March 15th, we held our Flag Football Chapter Meeting at the Lincoln High School football stadium and it was a huge hit! We had Mr. Lowe be our referee for the game and Mr.Willhite as the announcer! Not only did we play flag football, but we also recognized those who received their State Degrees! With that said we would like to congratulate Grace Landry, Dotty Lefty, Aiden Maul, Carrie Marino, Megan Sampson, Lilyana Petersen and Summber Picca! Next, on March 20th, our Parli Pro team traveled down to Sacramento to compete in the Parliamentary Procedure State contest! Unfortunately, the team did not move on to the next round, but we are still extremely proud of this huge accomplishment! Way to go team! To end this month with tons of fun, on March 21st- the 24th, we took 14 of our members to Sacramento to attend the State Leadership Conference! While some of our members went off and explored Sacramento, Megan Sampson and Lilyana Petersen presented our chapter website! They did so well that they placed in the top 6 in the entire state and will find out the next day! When day 2 rolls around, our members gathered to watch Megan and Lilyana get 2nd in the entire state for the chapter website contest! After awards were given ou, everyone got into groups and went to go see the Expo! After they finished up with the Expo, everyone went back to the hotel and got ready for the block party! It was a great way to end the night! On day 3, everyone woke up bright and early to attend the sessions! Once the session was adjured we had the amazing opportunity to explore Downtown Sacramento to end the night! Finally, day 4 came and it was time to head home! But first, everyone headed down to the Goldenone Center to attend the last session! Our members had a blast! What a great way to end off this month!
April
Rolling into this new month, on April 15th we took several of our members to be recognized at the State Degree Ceremony! Congratulations to Grace Landry, Dotty Lefty, Carrie Marino, Aiden Maul, Megan Sampson, and Liliana Petersen for this huge accomplishment! A couple days after that, on April 19th we took our Spanish Creed Speaker Estrella Herrera to the State Finals! Although she didn't place in the top 6, we are still extermly proud of this extraordinary achievement! Then on April 24th, we welcomed our community to the Lincoln High school Farm! At the open house everyone had the opprotunity to see all of our livestock, garden beds, talk to some of our students, and got to go on hay ride! During the open house, we also held a chili cook of and had a BBQ for everyone to enjoy! We had over 200 people attend our open house and we are behond greatful that we have such of an amazing community! What a great month!

Starting off this onth strong, on May 1st Dotty Lefty and Lilyana Petersen were both slated for the Sierra Buttes Sectional Vice President! This is an amazing achievement, we are all very proud of both of you! Moving on to May 4th, our BIG team travled all the way down to San Louis Obispo with Mr.Willhite for the State Finals! Although they didn't move on, we are all so proud of them for a great year of BIG! Then on May 8th we had the opportunity to host the Sierra Buttes Sectional meeting at the Lincoln High School Farm! Prevesouly stated before, we had two of our member slated both for the postion of Vice President! We would like to congratulate Dotty Lefty for being elected as the 2024-2025 Sierra Buttes Vice President! Can't wait to see where this path will lead you to! Moving on, on May 16th we held our End of The Year Award Ceremony! At this cereony we got to recoginze all of the achievements this year, like CDE and LDE teams, proficiency awards, degrees, scholarships and our senior pathway completions! We also gave gifts to our adviors to show apperation for all that they do for us and our chapter! Finally, at this ceremony our chapter got to find out who there 2024-2025 chapter officers were! We would like to introduce your 2024-2025 chapter officers, your Historian Matthew Marino, Sentinel Carrie Marino, Reporter Addalynn Henson, Treasurer Hudson Hants, Secretary Megan Sampson, Vice President Dotty Lefty, and finally your chapter President Lilyana Petersen! Lastly we wanted to recognize Mrs. Mary MacQueen for te Honorary Chapter Degree Recipient! Mrs. MacQueen is one of our biggest supporters and helper! We want to thank her for everything she has done for our chapter, we are forever greatful to have Mrs. MacQueen be our biggest supporter!

As the school year ends our members were getting ready to show their livestock aniamlas at the Placer County Fair on June 22nd! We would like to congratulate Braden Miner, Summer Picca, and Aiden Maul for placing first, second, and thrid in overall FFA master showmanship! We would also like to recognize some of our members receiving this years FFA scholarship from the fair, those indivusals are Braden, Della, Kassidy, and Summer! Great job everyone at this years Placer County Fair!
July
To wrap up this 2023-2024 school year, on July 15th Lincoln FFA got 2 brand new Ford trucks! Throughout the years we had fleets of farm vehicles, but over time our number of vechicles have gotten smaller and the vehicles have gotten older. Now with our new trucks we have plenty of trucks to get around the farm! A big thanks to Mr. Willhite and Mr. Hess for making this possible! Then on July 22nd we wrapped up our Summer School LEAP Tours! For 4 weeks we have had numeros of elementary school students come out to the farm and explore our livestock, all the way down to our wetlands! We would like to thank Mrs. Maul for helping out and making this possible! What an amazing year for your chapter! This year was filled with many accomplishments and loads of meomeries! We would like to thank our members, adviors, and our supporters for make this possible! Without you guys it wouldn't be the same, with all that said we can't wait for another amazing year!
